Cambrian is an experimental 3D game engine designed so your preferred coding agent can build while you playtest and direct. It runs natively and it’s fully open source.
Ask your agent (Claude, Codex, Cursor, etc.) to download Cambrian onto your Mac or PC. It’ll walk you through making your MVP and then use CLI tools to pop up your game in the Cambrian editor. Share to the web, and soon everywhere else, harnessing the full power of the native GPU & CPU.
Every environment, object model, character, texture, sound effect and piece of music in the demos below were made by Claude. We created a voxel asset toolset to get your agent building full games from the start. Give them a try!
Once your agent builds the MVP, the Cambrian Editor gives you a suite of simple tools to edit, tweak, and improve your game in a collaborative way.
When you’re ready to share, publish to the web with one click and share with friends.
We’re embracing the new paradigm of community development — your agent gets access to the open source repo, can add capabilities you need, and push those improvements to the rest of the community.
We’re looking for people interested in trying out this new workflow to improve an early version with us.

You’re on the list. We’ll email you an invite when a spot opens up.
